So what is your favorite restaurant? With a picture if you want to. Here's mine.
Texas Roadhouse. Their steaks and ribs are outstanding. And always have good service. If you ever go you got to try their rolls with honey cinnamon butter. They are so good you will want to fill up on them. But don't. Their other food is great.

have never been to a TRH. those rolls look tempting. as a kid, was lucky to go out to eat at many places. nothing super froo froo, but before fast-food joints popped up on ever other corner. bread/rolls showed up on tables right away, but were off-limits until actual food arrived.
ETA: as a teen/young adult, The Longhorn was a favorite and a splurge. NOT part of s restaurant chain. located in Delaware county PA. sorta western themed. my sister waitressed there while in college... ugly, fringed skirt and vest, topped with a cowboy hat. sorta known for their wedge iceberg salad. my favorite entree there was their surf & turf... fillet mignon and lobster tale.
another fave was Collegeville Inn. back then was a smorgasbord. where I learned what you ate and didn't eat at a buffet. Shady Maple (out Lancaster PA way) has a huge buffet... your meal is free on your birthday.

I rather fancy Elcharo Mexican restaurant in Fraser, Michigan. They have the best puffy tacos! I sure do miss that place now that I moved way up north. 😞 elcharrousa.com/fraser/ |

Mine's a local place called Garden Pizza, looks like a nothing kind of place but the food is great!

I can get food from the diner and be happy. But since my diet is so limited now, there is nothing exciting to me about going out to eat.

It depends. For Chinese food, I go to the New China Cafe in my hometown:   Mexican, Bella Nita:   Steakhouse: Applebee's. Breakfast: Denny's. |

Pretty much all my favorite restaurants have gone out of business after decades in the same locations. Between COVID and the outrageous costs from inflation, diners can't afford to go to good restaurants in NYC & Long Island anymore.
Famous Dave's BBQ is still open in Westbury, The Harrison Gastropub in Floral Park, Peter Luger's Steakhouse in Great Neck, Chef Wang in New Hyde Park, Wild Ginger Asian Fusion in Great Neck, Marbella Spanish Cuisine in Bayside, Benihana in Manhasset, and a couple of other restaurants I like, but I rarely dine out anymore.

I lived in NY for 35 years had have been to Philly several times. And had their version. It's good but so is the one I order. |
