I thoroughly enjoy this coffee, but now-a-days I've adapted the recipe to suit my taste.
Now I'll reduce the coffee to make one serving.
The modifications I've made to prepare this coffee, I've listed below.
Hearts Afire Coffee
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Cook Time: 5 Minutes
2 cups strong hot coffee (I used 2 cups of hot water, then I added 5 teaspoons of instant coffee.)
1/4 cup chocolate syrup
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Dash of ground red pepper
1/2 cup Half & Half
whipped cream (I used Reddi Wip)
-
1.) Pour the already prepared coffee into a 1-quart saucepan.
2.) Stir in the chocolate syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and red pepper; then add the half & half.
3.) Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 3 to 4 minutes, or until heated through.
4.) Pour into 2 individual coffee mugs.
5.) Garnish each serving with whipped cream (I used Reddi Wip Whipped Topping), and sprinkle with a bit of ground cinnamon.
6.) Yields: 2 (10.5-oz.) servings

Additional Note:
When making one serving cup of coffee I use:
1 cup of water
2-1/2 teaspoons of instant coffee (or decaffeinated coffee)
1/4 cup of Hershey's Chocolate Syrup
1/8 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/16 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
A light sprinkle of ground red pepper
1/4 cup of half-and-half
Plus, I'll top the coffee with Reddi Wip and a light sprinkle of ground cinnamon on top.
-
Here's a photo of one serving (10.5-ounces) of coffee).

Here are some additional photos of the coffee, which I've made in different size coffee mugs.
-
Additional photo of Shoppers Value Ground Red Pepper, which I only added a light sprinkle in my coffee.
