Family Dollar. Talking about a small 1.5 quart crock-pot. I have a big one but with just me eating now I think that would be big enough for me. Things like soups, chili, spaghetti sauce, ribs, etc. Think the first thing I'm going to make in it is something I really like. Pineapple and sausage. (Last picture)

What a great deal on the crock-pot, sandman ! Got it. I said to the lady at the counter that's a great price. I said I hope it works good. She told me she has had one the same size and said it still works great after 6 years. Looking forward to trying it out soon. |

I have a brand new big one sitting in my storage unit that I never use. You can have it sandman. I'm not a huge fan of crock pots. I get more tender meat out of using my big square no stick oven pan with the glass lid on it. Whatever I put in there and in the oven for 2 hours at 350° comes out just falling off the bone tender, I don't know why but I love it! |

why is it just you eating now? that's a steal btw , Thought everyone knew. The woman who was living with me passed away from cancer. My life will never be as good without her and I will always miss her. But like my brother said life goes on. |

That is really sad , but yes life goes on and over time it will get easier although it may not feel like it right now. |

a splurged on a smallish Instant-Pot. I didn't use crock pot all that much and about the same with the IP. what I like about it is that you can brown stuff in it... like the ground meat for sloppy joes or taco meat... or beef cubes for stew.

I bought one from Aldi. when I mentioned (maybe even here?) that there are a mess buttons and I wanted simpler... a friend on a message board sent me links that have the simplest instructions. just temps and times. |
