not a huge fan but have had them before... usually in some sort of salad.
bought a bag of when ended up being white and red/purple onions with some radishes thrown in. I love onions. they can be an entree/side and not just an ingredient. the onions/radishes are all about the same size... a little smaller than a ping-pong ball. thinking of roasting up some of the onions with some nice drippings saved from previous roast.
I don't think it would/could be a fail, but thinking of tossing some radishes in the mix?! anybody COOK radishes? if so, your input would be greatly appreciated.

I like eating them raw. Never had cooked radishes.
I ground some fresh ones up once and put them in fresh horseradish sauce. It was good!

I have never had a 'cooked' radish. I put them in salads, raw!

Ya'll made a thread about me?
I took you for more of a guy like this instead of a radish.

I eat raw radishes in salads. Or dipped in blue cheese salad dressing.
I like cooked radishes, as well.
I wrap them with other raw veggies in tin foil.
I drizzle the veggies with olive oil and add other spices on top. I close up the tin foil. Everything comes out tender and spice-yummy. Turnips and radishes have a lot less carbs than potatoes.
I've used both in homemade soups, as well. In soups, they soak up the flavor of the spices.

SafeInSanity, I don't know any specific health benefits from radishes but they must be very low in calories and carbs. sadly that doesn't necessarily make them yummy. kerri, i'll give your wrapping/roasting recipe a shot. I know radishes vary in how spicy/hot they can be and I don't have a clue... haven't tried one yet. oh, BTW... realized later that they're all radishes!? not an onion in the bunch!?

kerri, Thanks for the idea. I like carrots and celery dipped in blue cheese dressing so I bet I would like radishes also. Have you ever dipped these in blue cheese dressing? So good.

Says they contain some vitamin C. And are a good source of fiber. And this: "Radishes are a powerhouse of nutrients and antioxidants that can support liver health. They contain high levels of fiber, which aids in digestion and helps flush out toxins from the liver."

niftiness, I don't have them often but I do like them. I like them thinly sliced in salads. I didn't know they could be cooked, so I tried that and didn't like them cooked.
