'Worse Than Biden': Border Patrol Agents Say Four Years of Harris Would Prolong the 'Nightmare'

More than a dozen Border Patrol agents said they will not vote for Vice President Kamala Harris in November, warning that four years with Harris at the helm would prolong the "nightmare" at the U.S. southern border, the Washington Examiner reported Monday.
The agents, who spoke to the Examiner on the condition of anonymity, expressed their concerns that a Harris presidency would "continue the same failed policies as Biden" and even exacerbate the border crisis.
"These past four years have been a nightmare for the patrol, and it would be another four years of the same—and probably worse than Biden, honestly," one agent told the outlet.
"Nothing has been done to show support for Border Patrol Agents or the mission in the past four years," another interviewed agent said. "I fear having another four years of the same thing would be even more detrimental to the homeland if Harris becomes president."
The remarks come amid growing scrutiny over Harris’s record on illegal immigration. Half a dozen House Democrats in late July joined their Republican colleagues in passing a resolution that condemned Harris for her failure as "border czar" to secure the southern border.
More than 7.8 million migrants, including nearly 100 individuals on the terrorist watch list, have crossed into the United States illegally under the Biden-Harris administration. Biden appointed Harris in March 2021 to investigate the "root causes" of illegal immigration, effectively putting her in charge of the border since then.
"We are screwed as a country if [Harris] becomes president. The border will never close," another agent said.
Some of the agents believe that Harris’s running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, is even more radical than Harris. Walz, whose far-left policy record has faced heavy scrutiny and backlash, supported overhauling the federal immigration system and signed bills last year that provided free college and health care to illegal immigrants.
"The vice president pick seems even more radical than [Harris], which is mind-blowing. I view her as leaning left more than Biden," one border patrol agent said.
