so weather forecast for philly and burbs... snow starting later tonight... continuing into tomorrow... light fluffy stuff... 2-4 inches.
now 2-4" is an almost "significant" amount for around here. i don't get crazy when snow is on the way. i do a mental check list. at least half tank of gas... more is better. cat food & litter. coffee, though tea would work.
would have to be an earth shaking emergency for me to get behind the wheel in snow... not worth dealing with the fools that i might encounter. i did run a quick errand to return something. ended up right next to Aldi, so decided to get some "good" snacking food. i round a corner and what do i see?? thre was a guy with a full, almost over-flowing cart. he had 6 (maybe 7) gallons of milk. 5-6 big jugs of juice. at least 4 dozen eggs. 6 (maybe more) loaves of bread. at least 5 packs of toilet paper. he was tossing 5-6 packs of individually wrapped/sliced cheese.
i had frozen French bread pizza, scrapple, dark chocolate candy bars in my cart. i wish i could take a decent picture with my phone.
how do you prepare for SNOW!?

gibby, when i woke up (briefly) for a bathroom break around 7 am... it was lightly snowing. i crawled right back under down comforter until... well, not very long ago. the 2-4" prediction... not so much. nothing on streets/sidewalks. looks like a skinny inch on cars. when i see people with insane amounts of food in crt (pre-storm), i wonder how much ends up getting thrown away? you can easily freeze milk, but who has room for GALLONS of the stuff? i think sun is supposed to peek out a bit later. if i venture out at all, it'll be to push the snow off my car before it freezes.
