Look at the one in the middle. You could get a regular burger, cheeseburger, fries and a drink and get change back from a dollar!

I remember Gino's... hamburgers were $.15... an extra nickel for cheese. i think fries were also $.15?! they had a deluxe burger called the Gino Giant. the chain started in Baltimore by some pro football players... Gino Marchetti. popular in the SE PA area. they tried a comeback maybe 10 years ago or so... didn't work out.
i went to college in PA Poconos in the PFF era (pre fast food). E'burg didn't have McD's or other cheap places for poor college students. just outside town there were 2 inexpensive places poor college students could afford. one was called Dairy KING and not too far from the was Burger QUEEN.

When me and my brother were young my parents would take us to Conneaut Lake Park. On the way there or on the way home we would always stop at the Red Barn Restaurant. They long ago went out of business. Look at their prices at the time. Chicken dinners went up a whole dime. LOL

there's a place that looks just like this about 25 miles south of me in NJ. even the same name. i don't know that it was ever a burger place. to me, it has always been a bit of a produce stand and bakery... wonderful PIES.
