Interesting to read.
"Prunes and dried plums are the same thing"
I love fresh plums. One bites into them and they are so juicy.
I knew raisins were dried grapes. I'd rather eat fresh grapes. Again, I love the fresh, juicy taste.
I don't really care for dried, dehydrated fruits. The juicyness is what I like about fruit. And the dried fruits are too sweet for my taste.
But I know we all like different things.

I might use them in a baking recipe. I'd rather have a fresh plum though.
