SafeInSanity I know you sit by outdoor fire-pits sometimes. Have you or anyone else here ever made steaks like this over hot coals?
I have not exactly like that. Bet they would be good. I have what you see below but mine has a longer handle. I have made both hamburgers and steaks with it and its great cooked that way. And fun.

Yes, but we have one of those big round grates that sits right on top of the fire pit. It cooks the meat so nicely and it has tons of smoke on it!

I once tried to do a burger over the charcoal chimney starter. in my mind (??) I figured it was just a smaller version of a grill. wrong! the burger was starting to incinerate in seconds. like trying to cook on a jet engine!
