not a fan of HOT stuff but like a little heat. I always have Frank's Red Hot in fridge... and yes, I put that sh!t on everything. btw, I really think ldi's version is really Franks... even to shape of the bottle. went a little HOT mad scientist once. had bought a bag of jalapenos at Produce Junction... 2 lbs for very little. was planning chili but don't like things really HOT. soon realized the peppers would go bad before I would ever use them. knew I could freeze, but freezer is very precious real estate. I had a cheap dehydrator, so slit peppers length-wise and dried the heck outta them... till crispy. when totally crunchy, I zizzed them in the food processor to get powdered jalapeno. problem was... I quickly removed food processor lid and let loose a cloud of fine RED HOT jalapeno powder that quickly went up my nose! seemed like I coughed and sneezed for hours.  but the results made a nice difference in any spice blend that had cayenne in it. |
